The boys’ varsity soccer team started the season on a strong note with a 5-0 win over Dalton at Randall’s Island. The team got first half goals from Eamon Levin and Sam Rinzler to build a lead, which they expanded in the second half. Levi Morant scored the first goal of the second half off an assist from Zach Morant and Aidin Rinzler padded the lead with a goal off a header. Sam’s second goal put an exclamation point on a great offensive and defensive performance. Hackley’s back four of Ian Mook, Daniel Shaw, Doug Alpuche, and Kevin Dronzek, and goalie George Wangensteen, helped shutout Dalton.
