It wasn’t the prettiest or the best played game, but on Alumni Day the boys’ soccer team pulled out a dramatic 4-3 win over Trinity.  Trinity struck first in the 35th minute, but Hackley bounced back with a goal from Eamon Levin off an assist from James Breen. But right off the restart Trinity scored again to take a 2-1 lead into halftime. Hackley came out in the second half with a lot of chances, but didn’t break through until Levi Morant scored two goals, which got the fans involved in the game and shifted the momentum towards Hackley. But there was one more twist, as within a minute of the end of the game, Trinity scored again, sending the game into overtime. The first five minute overtime period went by without any goals, and the game looked like it was going to end in a tie. Then, after a great save from the Trinity goalie, Luca Aloe stabbed home a rebound for the winning goal with about a minute left in the game. Trinity had one more chance as time wound down, but Trinity’s striker’s shot was wide left, giving Hackley a dramatic win in front of the alumni.
