Boys’ Soccer Wins NYSAIS Championship

On Sunday, November 3rd, Hackley Boys’ Varsity Soccer won the NYSAIS Championship with a dramatic 2-0 win over Poly Prep. It was the team’s first NYSAIS championship since 2001. The team held the competition scoreless through all three rounds of tournament play.

Samantha Rainero and Asahi Goods, the 1st and 3rd singles respectively, are getting their serves ready for Ivy Finals against Poly Prep. Both have felt the stress before as they are experienced Varsity tennis players: Samantha, a senior, has been on the team since freshman year, and Asahi, a sophomore, has been on the team since 8th grade.

Before the game, the Hackley Girls Varsity team lined up, to listen to a Hackley alum speak about their experience with Dave Allison. The team honors Dave Allison by wearing matching sweatshirts with his name on it.
