Senior Chris Arnold almost always makes New Year’s resolutions. This year, his two biggest goals are to go vegan and to eliminate or at least limit his consumption of fast and unethical fashion brands. Going to college, he hopes, will be the perfect opportunity to implement these goals. Chris finds that he is usually pretty bad at accomplishing resolutions; for example, he almost always tries to read more for pleasure but rarely accomplishes that. He believes that resolutions are a good idea, but “it gets us into an unproductive cycle that always results in little to no improvement.” He also thinks that people should not wait until the New Year to try and better themselves.
