This Thursday, the 16th, is a make or break moment in Hackley wrestling. We host a home meet against rival school Horace Mann, who along with Poly Prep, are tied with Hackley for first place in our NYSAIS league. We have been in this three way tie situation before, and as said by junior Elias Germanakos, “Last year we shared the title, so this year is a big deal.”
Not only is the wrestling team hungry for a victory, but it would mean a break in a 15 year drought since the last time we beat Horace Mann. Mr. Stanek has his wrestlers straining to make weight and be ready for this goliath that faces him and his team. All we can do now is get loud in support of Hackley Wrestling.
