In one of the bigger match ups of the year, the girls’ varsity basketball team took down Rye Country Day in front of a home crowd, 51-37. The Hornets were led by sisters senior Ally Mueller and sophomore Sammy Mueller, who scored 20 and 19 points respectively. Senior Stef Frolo added 12 points, and hit one of the best shots of the season when she knocked down a half-court buzzer beater. Frolo also added 15 rebounds and 3 blocks. Hackley travels to Poly Prep on January 17 to take on the Blue Devils.
