On September 21, all cross country runners traveled to Warwick Valley for the Wave Mania meet. Hackley did not take home any team honors at this large meet, but almost every runner broke a personal record. Tristan Jung and Frank Medici clocked at 18:04 and 18:19 respectively on the 5K course, finishing as the top two runners for the boys. Claire Gomba and Julia Stevenson finished with times of 19:20 and 21:23, which earned them top honors for the girls. Claire’s finish was fifth out of 75 runners and fast enough to earn the only medal of the day, along with the Hackley cross country 5k school record.
