NYSAIS Results

Yesterday’s events certainly proved to be major highlights in Hackley’s spring sports season!

Congratulations to both the Girls’ and Boys’ Varsity Track and Field teams who each secured first place in the NYSAIS meet at ICAHN Stadium on Randall’s Island. The girls followed up their Ivy League win, making this their second consecutive independent school state title. The 4x800m team of juniors Greer Levin, Callye Bolster, Claire Gomba and sophomore Julia Stevenson took first in the event and broke the previous school record of 10:05 in commanding fashion with a 9:52. They, along with teammates Elijah Ngbokoli, Darius Inzar, Anthony Roderick, Winston Britton, Julia Baker, Raechelle Emanuel, Sabina Thomas, Gabriella Zak, Alexis Arnold, and Harry Lieblich will be competing in the NYS Federation meet on June 6-7th in Syracuse, NY.

This win for the boys made it their sixth consecutive state title.

Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse won the final round of the NYSAIS tournament with a 10-9 victory over Rye Country Day School to win their third consecutive NYSAIS championship.

Girls’ Varisty Lacrosse battled against Rye Country Day into sudden death double overtime, losing the final round with a score of 11-10. It was most certainly an action-packed end to a outstanding season, and perhaps the most exciting game in years.
