Night Owl

By Hannah Urken and Lucy Barse

Not everyone is a morning person. For many, waking up for school is a huge challenge despite what time they went to bed the night before. If this is the case, waking up as late as possible makes mornings much easier. When homework is heavy, it makes sense to finish it that night as opposed to putting it off for the next day. If a student relies on finishing their work the next day, they are not accounting for the possibility of something going wrong, such as accidentally oversleeping or not having enough time to complete an assignment before school. This leaves students with unfinished work and a stressful morning. Whether a student decides to finish their homework that night and sacrifice their bedtime, or go to sleep at a reasonable hour and wake up an hour or two earlier, they still receive the same amount of sleep. Whichever method one chooses is completely personal and depends on their preference.
