Samantha has been writing for Hackley for 4 years, holding positions such as an Opinion Editor and Staff Writer.  Samantha is from Ossining, NY. Samantha enjoys reading classics, taking photos, and listening to music. Samantha’s fun fact is that she is a lifeguard and swim instructor.

The pink and blue auroras were visible in the sky in Ossining, NY at approximately 7:40 p.m. The auroras were more visible in Westchester and Northern New York than in New York City, where there is more air pollution and light pollution. iPhone cameras are better at picking up the light than a human's naked eye.

Seniors Meredith Lee, Rebecca Ingles, and Ava Derby were just three of many seniors who endured the early wake up time last Friday for Senior Sunrise. With the sunrise being at 6:48 a.m., students arrived at Pickert Field at around 6:20 to enjoy breakfast and spend time with friends.

Seniors Rebecca Ingles and Gabrielle Diaz-Alcantara pour themselves Dunkin' coffee to help wake themselves up. Community council provided the coffee and hot chocolate. There were a lot of beverages and pastries left over, so they were brought to the Senior Lounge for anyone to enjoy.
