Alessia Sorvillo is a senior at Hackley and one of the Chief Design Editors on the Dial. She has been a part of the Dial since freshman year and has a passion not only for writing, but for creatively designing magazines. Alessia is from Elmsford, NY and outside of school she enjoys selling clothes, reading, baking, and going to the beach. Alessia manages Hackley’s varsity girls basketball team and leads the Guiding Eyes for the Blind Club. Alessia’s fun fact is that she has an identical twin sister.

TikTok's popularity is clearly demonstrated by their over 1 billion monthly users. This has allowed TikTok to manifest its way into many aspects of American culture and daily life, causing an addiction to TikTok for many. This increase in social media usage can be linked to increased depression rates for children.
