The noise was deafening when Coach Arnold answered the crowds chants for fan favorite Jake Byrne(24). Byrne, a big member of Hackleys JV Lacrosse team was subbed on late in the 3rd quarter. When asked about the energy of the crowd Jake Byrne said, It was definitely a ton of fun and a pretty cool experience but mostly importantly we won the game and thats always the most fun part.

Cliff Chapman(24) executes a perfect dodge to net one of his 7 goals on the night. When asked about the magical performance Cliff said, Thats just what I do. And that is no lie as Cliff is on pace to break the all time Hackley Lacrosse point record.

Senior leaders Parker Diaz(22) and Ryan Thompson(22) share a moment before the clock on their last Sting game runs out. After missing two seasons because of Covid and this being my first game back from injury, it was amazing being able to play in front of the whole school and win alongside my best friends. said Parker Diaz.

The crowd goes wild as Ryan Thompson(22) delivers a massive hit to a Fieldston player on a ground ball. The athletic senior was able to provide a sense of calm while remaining physically dominant over his Fieldston counterpart in Hackleys emphatic 14-3 win.

An impressive shot by David Koffler(22) leads to him and Jason Berger(22) jump and complete a mid-air handshake. Berger told fans after the game, We rehearsed it the day before in practice and Im happy we got the chance to show the crowd.

Committed to Skidmore to continue his lacrosse career, team captain David Koffler(22) had one more thing to cross off his bucket list before leaving the Hilltop, Being in the stands during previous Stings was some of the most fun Ive had at Hackley and finally getting to be in the game was really cool. I think everybody especially the seniors really wanted to win a Sting game in front of the whole school. Were really focused on the trophy at the end of the year, but it was still awesome to play in that type of game. In the closing moments of the game he fired this shot leading to one of the finest goals of the game.

Nerves were at an all time right as the first face-off was dropped. John Churchill(23) and a Fieldston midfielder jockey for position to run in for the incoming ground ball.

Hackley and Fieldston players line up for the National Anthem before getting ready to play. Junior defenseman Will Maier commented on this treasured pregame ritual, Its a powerful tradition, and represents an important message of teamwork, patriotism, and sportsmanship.

Cliff Chapman(24) and Johnny Esposito(22) celebrate after a goal with a chest-bump. When asked about the celebration Esposito excitedly remarked, It was not planned but I think chest bumps are dope but as you can see in the photo I have no hops. We were feeling lit because of the crazy goal Cliff just had and you have to celebrate after a goal like that.
