In recent years, inflatable costumes have become especially popular for young kids looking to wear something fun for Halloween. Two popular inflatable styles involve legs riding a horse or dinosaur and an alien in the midst of abducting a child. Students also enjoy dressing up as their favorite foods; this student is dressed as a cup of ramen.

Student Ambassadors examine rock formations along the walls of a cave. The cave depicted is one of many that are part of the complex Musanze system. In order to protect themselves from hitting their heads on rocks, students and chaperones wore brightly colored hard hats with flashlights attached.

New Head of School, Mr. Charles Franklin addressed the Hackley community as a whole for the first time at Convocation. Mr. Franklin recognized each group at Hackley that makes the school so special to him: teachers, staff, the board of trustees, and the students. He later recognized the seniors for their accomplishments and got to know them better at the Senior Breakfast.

Juniors and sophomores walk to the Quad. After being instructed to go back inside or stay outside, the students either line up along the halls or encircle the Quad. The seniors' final destination on the Graduation Walk was the through the senior lounge and onto the Quad.

Because the new Performing Arts Center is currently under construction until 2024, the Zetov Center served as a stage for the orchestra and band. Traditionally, the Zetkov Center was used for sports games and practices, but since the building of the Johnson Center for Athletics, it has housed a variety of school events. On the way to the concert itself, students had to trek all the way around the construction site despite the cold.

Both AFER classes took trips with their teachers, Ms. Johnson and Ms. Olsen, to see the burn site. The classes learned about how the fire could have started and toured around the different areas where the fire affected wildlife. At first, it was difficult for science teachers to locate the site, since it was in a fairly remote location in the woods.
