Students' key cards allow them to open all doors across campus. Every door on campus is now locked and Hackley members must place their ID cards against the scanner in order to unlock the door. This is a new adjustment for students as they must have their key cards with them at all times around campus so they do not get locked out.

Members of the One Love Club get to teach workshops to 8th graders about healthy and unhealthy relationships. In this workshop the One Love Ambassadors had an interactive discussion on guilting and betrayal. The 8th graders were encouraged to participate in these discussions and it was a great opportunity to show the middle schoolers a great club they could join in 9th grade.

Mr. Franklin sat in on a 7th grade science class. Mr. Franklin really appreciated the sense of community he felt when visiting Hackley and meeting faculty and students. During Mr. Franklin's first year at Hackley he hopes to immerse himself in all there is to know about Hackley. Sitting in on different classes is a great first step to accomplish this.
