Nicky Wind, a junior at Hackley, is the photography editor for the Dial. Nicky enjoys taking pictures of sports games at Hackley and writing articles. Nicky’s goal with the dial is to help create a stronger connection between the students and the community. Outside of the Dial, Nicky is an avid fencer, enjoys watching sports, and does male acapella.

Samantha Rainero and Asahi Goods, the 1st and 3rd singles respectively, are getting their serves ready for Ivy Finals against Poly Prep. Both have felt the stress before as they are experienced Varsity tennis players: Samantha, a senior, has been on the team since freshman year, and Asahi, a sophomore, has been on the team since 8th grade.

Monday, September 13th marked the first day of Spirit Week in the Upper School. The first theme of the week was jersey day, encouraging students to support their favorite athletes and teams. Freshmen showed their support for teams such as the New York Yankees and Chicago Bears on the first day of spirit week.
