Study Time Playlist

By Catherine Meyer, Staff Writer

Setting the tone when you’re studying can really affect your level of productivity. Whether you side with the philosophy of the “Mozart effect”, or you feel that fast paced music makes you work more efficiently, there is no denying that music is a key element in setting the tone for your tasks. After asking several Upper School Students what type of music they listen to when they study, their responses included alternative, pop, rock, and “calm music”. “I think different music brings different moods,” sophomore Winston Britton said. The playlist below is a compilation of a  variety of songs created using the app/website Spotify. Most of the songs can be found in the iTunes music store, but Spotify offers them for free upon signing up, although it does include some advertisements. The songs in this playlist range from slower songs like U.F.O by Coldplay and Way Back When by Kodaline, while also integrating songs with a quicker pace including Love Me Like You by Ella Eyre. There is a wide range of genres people prefer to listen to when they study, and this playlist includes songs for every type of studier.
