Members of the Indoor Track and Field team continued their season with the NYSPHSAA Indoor Track and Field Championship meet, held at Staten Island’s Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on March 4.

Senior Ivie Uzamere won a medal in the weight throw at the State Indoor Track Meet, placing 4th with a 49′ ¼” throw. On the Boys’ team, senior Jordan Patrick threw a personal best of 51′ 2.5″ in the weight throw. Seniors Winston Britton and Amin fought well, with Winston running 6.80 seconds in the 55m dash and Amin jumping 41′ 6″ in the triple jump.

In addition to Ivie in the weight throw, junior Onye Ohia-Enyia will also compete in the New Balance Nationals Indoor meet, running 49.54 seconds in the 400m at the state meet.
